A Roman or Post-Medieval copper alloy finger-ring with rectangular bezel, the hoop of which is now slightly squashed out of shape. It measures 21.18x15.79mm and would have originally measured c.20.5mm in diameter. It weighs 1.15g. The bezel measures 11.91x4.40x2.49mm and is decorated with two longitudinal ribs with tiny transverse grooves at the highest point. The shoulders are triangular and c.2x2mm, narrowing to 1.27x1.43mm at the back of the hoop, which is rectangular in cross-section. It is 3.42mm in thickness, increasing to 9.12mm with the inclusion of the loop. A Late Medieval/ Early Post-Medieval (1400-1600) copper alloy finger-ring with a seal matrix on the oval bezel. It measures 25.94x26.11mm (internal 21.40x19.94mm) and weighs 7.9g. The oval bezel measures 17.30x10.23x4.07mm and the matrix displays the letter T surmounted by a much smaller T with a horizontal line either side, on its horizontal cross-bar. The shoulders are c.6.5mm wide below, narrowing to c.4mm below and further to 2.8mm wide at the back of the hoop.

An incomplete Medieval to Early Post-Medieval (c. late 13th to 17th century) cast composite two-piece copper alloy (with high tin content) button, missing its separate embedded wire shank. It is solid and globular in shape, measuring 5.93mm in diameter and standing 6.28mm in height, less the missing loop. It weighs 2.0g. The metal has a shiny patina, silvery in appearance. An incomplete Medieval (c.1200-1500) copper alloy circular seal matrix with conical handle, damaged around the sides of the matrix and along the conical handle.  It stands 18.82mm high and weighs 4.3g. The matrix measures 18.51mm in diameter. The matrix is extremely worn and seems to depict two figures, one possibly kneeling, the other bending forwards. An Early Post-Medieval (1500-1700) copper alloy tinned openwork  hooked clasp of Read Class A, Type 1 (with three attachment knops), consisting of the eye part. It measures 43.04x34.95x3.10mm and weighs 6.8g. The hooked clasp is circular (c.26mm diameter) in shape with a rectangular eye 15.57mm wide. The clasp is slightly concave to the reverse and is very pitted and rough to touch.  It is decorated to the front with a human mask within a curved-arm cross. Cf. Read 2008 p.166 no.617, the ‘hook’ counterpart.

A fragment of an Early Post-Medieval (1500-1700) copper alloy probable spoon knop in the form of an acorn, measuring 15.17x6.77x5.94mm and weighing 1.8g. It tapers to c.3mm diameter where it extends from a base, now mostly broken. At the midpoint is a circumferential groove, below which is criss-cross grooving. At the apex is a tiny knop.

A fragment of cast copper alloy Medieval to Post-Medieval (c.1200-1800) handle-lug and conjoined body sherd from a cooking vessel, probably a cauldron. It measures 40.20mm in length and weighs 37.9g.  The handle lug consists of roughly half and measures 11-13mm in diameter and c.34mm in length. It would have originally been V-shaped. The surviving piece of body measures 35.78x18.59x4.53mm and has a rim with an angled inside edge. A socketed handle and body fragment of cast copper alloy Medieval to Post-Medieval (c.1400-1650) vessel, probably a ladle. It measures 54.45mm in length and weighs 29.2g. The handle would presumably have been of wood. The socketed handle measures 16.11x14.64mm at the open end (internal 12.38x11.27mm) with a c.5mm diameter rivet hole on the underside for a retaining pin. The socket is 46.27mm deep.
