Obverse: Crown with single arch; crossed long sceptres through the crown, the sceptre handles extend to the edge of the coin, wire inner circle, privy mark at top centre at start of legend. Inscription: CAROLV D G MA BRI Reverse: Single rose with single-arched crown above, wire inner circle, privy mark, when present, at end of legend. Inscription: FRA ET HI REX
