Approximately 25% of the mount is missing from one side, providing a clear view of the object in section. The face of the convex mount is irregular and appears somewhat facetted, and there is an oblong depression in its centre. The underside indicates it was roughly cast and unfinished, with a thickening of the centre area on the underside. The break appears to have been chopped initially, and then bent to complete the break.
