<full>A Mesolithic – Neolithic flint core fragment dating 8,300 &#45;2,100BC. There is a small area of cortex present and some modern damage but there at least three blade flake removal scars.
Jon Cotton notes that this assemblage of flint is not from one episode of activity within one period, rather it is part of the ‘background noise’ of typical material that would be widely found on floodplain areas. Similar assemblages are known in Richmond Park, the foreshore at Kew and Barnes.

<notes>Jon Cotton notes that this assemblage of flint is not from one episode of activity within one period, rather it is part of the ‘background noise’ of typical material that would be widely found on floodplain areas. Similar assemblages are known in Richmond Park, the foreshore at Kew and Barnes. The flint is orangey&#45;umber and it is gravel flint which is to be expected because it was found on the terrace gravels, essentially this is the local material.

This is one flint from quite a large scatter over the area.

<summary>A Mesolithic – Neolithic flint blade dating 8,300&#45;2,100 BC. This blade is a tertiary flake with no cortex remaining. There are five vertical flake removal scars on the dorsal surface showing where other blades were removed from the core. There are two notches on the right edge near the dista...</summary>
