The pendat is largely complete, missing a portion of the very worn suspension loop. The pendant is sub-square in plan with a thick outer edge with moulded notches, creating a wavy, beaded effect. The field is sunken, of 3-4mm depth, with a central, domed square boss. Most of the field retains a veneer of blue enamel, less than 1mm in thickness. The reverse is undecorated. The suspension loop emerges from the centre of the upper edge. The squarish form of the pendant, use of enamel, and lack of heraldic devices may indicate that this pendant is an earlier form from the 13th century. An axel connects these two lugs and a third central lug that extends from the fixture to the actual pendant (no missing). The pommel is complete and best described as somewhat biconical in shape, with a broad central band and a flat outer disc on both faces, such that in section the pommel appears to be hexagonal. A larger rectangular opening indicated where the pommel was inserted over the tang, with a smaller rectangular opening at the opposite end of the pommel, suggesting the tip of the tang of the sword was folded over on passing through the pommel. A crack runs from one corner of the larger opening to the centre of one face. A cast, copper-alloy sword pommel of Medieval date, c. 1250-1500.
