An incomplete Roman silver finger ring dating 3rd - 4th century AD. The finger ring has an oval raised bezel with decorative angular shoulders. The gem stone or glass setting is missing from the bezel but there are the remains of a white cement surviving. The angular shoulders are decorated with three stamped chevrons. The band has a rounded triangular cross-section and the profile of the finger ring shows the band forming an oval. There is a crack through the band opposite the centre of the bezel. A complete Roman bone hair pin dating to AD 150 - 400. The hair pin is a Greep type B1.1 and Crummy type 3. The head is spherical. The pin shaft tapers to join the head and bulges outwards as it moves away and then tapers again towards a point. A Roman oval cornelian intaglio, probably dating 1st to the 2nd century AD. This intaglio is Henig Series A. The colour of the gemstone is an even orange. The intaglio is oval in plan and conforms to Henig's Flat Shape I, the upper (engraved) surface is longer than the lower (smooth) surface, so the sides are angled outwards. An Iron Age - Early Medieval silver coiled or 'spiral' finger ring dating 100BC-800AD. This finger ring is made from a strip of silver, with a D-shaped cross section, that is coiled with three turns. A complete Roman copper alloy Hod Hill brooch dating AD43-70. This brooch has a rolled-over head, hinged pin with iron axis bar. The bow is decorated with characteristic fluting and ridges and two projecting lugs from the middle of the bow. A fragment of mosaic, probably Roman, comprising marble tessera set within mortar (AD43-410). This fragment of mosaic consists of 20 tessera made from a crystalline marble; 8 are orange/red, 4 are black and 8 are white. The tessera have been cut into irregular cubes and two are much thinner fragments to fit into gaps between the cubes. These tesserae are set into a bed of pinkish white mortar with irregular inclusions including grog. The impressions of further tessera, that are no longer present, are visible in the mortar. A Roman or medieval copper alloy hair pin with inlaid enamel. This hairpin has a globular head with a groove just below the head. The head is decorated with inlaid enamel; in the centre there is a circular copper alloy cell containing white enamel and then there is a ring of red enamel.
