Medieval copper alloy seal matrix, circular with an off-set loop in its back. On its face is the figure of a Lion Rampant holding between its forepaw a 'garb' (sheaf) of wheat. The inscription reads *SIGILLV(M) COMMVNE VILLE DE MACCLESFELD, or common seal of the town of Macclesfield, the lion and garb being long associated with the town. The identification and dating of this object are open to doubt. Its form resembles that of Early Medieval buckle plates of Marzinzic's Type II 23b (2003, Pl. 130) but its finish makes this dating unlikely. Copper alloy buckle, Medieval, c. AD1270-1350, double loop, one side missing, the surviving side is D-shaped with a trapezoid section. The bar dividing the two loops was straight ending is small projections. Tooling marks all over. In London similar buckles were found in contexts dating to c. Unidentified, copper alloy object of probable Medieval date c. AD1200-1300. The object consists of a rectangular plate, on one end of which is a round-ended projection through which is a 2.6mm diameter hole. A projection on the other end is truncated. On the face of the plate is a stamped design depicting a lion passant set within a ring which is surrounded by a ring of pellets, all set within a rectangular frame. Cast lead token, of Medival or Post Medieval date c. 1400-1800. Bifaced, one side bears what appears to be a triquetra motif, the other an incomprehensible design. Medieval (c. AD1270-1400) copper alloy composite strap end. Rectangular with an ogival terminal in the centre of which is a small projection. The distal end is shaped with a rounded central notch flanked by curved shoulders. The strap end appears to be composite and made up of two sheet metal side plates separated by a wish-bone shaped spacer. It was fixed to the end of the strap by means of two small, copper alloy rivets. Organic traces, probably the remains of leather, are present within the socket. Medieval (c. AD1200-1400) enamelled, cast copper alloy harness pendant in the shape of a heater-shaped shield. The face bears a heraldic designed consisting of a diapered pattern of enamelled blue squares alternating with squares that are now plain, as they are not recessed for champleve enamel it is likely that they were originally gilt. At the top of the shield are the remains of a suspension ring. The overall condition is poor. Length 37.7mm, Width 22.4mm, Thickness 1.6mm, Mass 5.59g.

Medieval (c. AD1200-1350) lead seal matrix of unusual crudity. It appears to have been roughly cut from a piece of sheet lead and lacks any handle or fittings. On one face is a lighly incised cross around which is a deeply incised inscription '+ S' RICI/ RVC'.Length 29.9mm, Width 16.3mm, Thickness 3.0mm, Mass, including sleeve, 9.48g.
The crudity of this object is striking, and one can only speculate for whom, and why, it was made.

Medieval (c. AD1270-1450) core from a composite, copper alloy, strap end. This object was the spacer, originally separating two sheets of copper alloy, it represents a frame made up of a ring on which are two prongs, between which the end of the strap fitted with a terminal projection in the form of an elongated acorn. Egan and Pritchard (1991, Fig. 92, No. 651) illustrate similar strap end from London which came from context dating to c. AD1270-1450. Length 50.3mm, Width 20.6mm, Thickness 1.9mm, Mass 5.77g.

Medevial (c. AD1350-1450) thimble made from sheet copper alloy, what may be a braised joint line is visible on its inner surface. The thimble has a tapering body with a low conical top, it bears concentric rings of 1.0mm diameter, punched, hollows. This is an unusually large thimble suggesting that it was used by a man.
