Obverse: Lightly worn bust, facing right, wearing a laurel crown and draped cloth around the shoulders.
Inscription: GVLIELMVS III.DEI.GRA.
Reverse: Four crowned shields placed in cruciform pattern, with a possible uncrowned lion shield in the centre.
Inscription: 97 MAG BR FRA [ET] HIB REX16.
The coin measures 25.37mm diameter, 1.28mm thick and weighs 5.49.
