A modern copy of an Early Medieval silver halfpenny of Edward the Elder (899-924), based upon Norrth 660 (floral penny) albeit seemingly intended to be a halfpenny version, of which no real examples are known. The style and flan of the coin are not consistent with an early-medieval piece- the flan is too smooth and the design/inscription too well defined and crisp. It may be an 'Ashmore copy' who produced a very similar fake penny of this type (T. Abramson 'Anglo-Saxon counterfeits', p.152). Obverse: Small cross pattee within a plain inner circle; inscription: EADVVEARD REX Rev…

A modern imitation of a silver post-medieval Scarborough siege piece valued at one shilling and sixpence dating to 1645 (North 2650, Type I (k); Spink 3162). The siege piece is roughly octagonal in shape, typical of many imitations and appears to share the same obverse castle die (the letter and demonination were added directly to the flan) of an imitation produced on a Victorian florin (see http://www.coinarchives.com/w/openlink.php?l=1661354|1559|832|285502c28894e7716cfb680b95e02869). The reverse of this coin is mostly smooth although within the loop of the 'g' in Scarborough …

Silver ten kopeks of Alexander I (1801-1825) of Russia, dated to 1823 on the obverse, with a small П and Д above it, which are the initials P and D of the moneyer (see Krause & Mishler, 1980, page 1489, No.127). The obverse has a crowned double-headed eagle holding an orb in one tallon and a sceptre in the other, with a square shield in front, above the moneyer and date. The reverse has a crown over the number 10 over the lettering КОПЂΕΚЪ (kopeks) underlined with СПЂ underneath, which translates to SPB or Sankt Pitersburg mint, within a wreath.
