Anglo-Saxon copper alloy girdle hanger fragment, c. 400-600 AD, 29mm wide and 24mm high with a weight of 8.87grams. The object is in a fair condition with a pitted greenish surface. It represents the lower end of a hanger and is roughly rectangular in shape and is uniformly 3mm thick. It has traces of a border made up of punched circles. The upper edge of the object has a protrusion 12mm high and 6mm wide at each edge and in the centre are the remains of the broken off shaft which was C.7mm wide.
