    I believe this is a farthing token issued by William Malthus of Reading. The obverse reads: WILLIAM.MALTHVS around WM. Reverse is IN.READINGE around 1658. Reference is Williamson is Berkshire 96. It is also illustrated by him in plate 1, fig 10.
