BROOCH

Unique ID: NARC1533

Object type certainty: Possibly

There are currently no images available.

An unusual miniature terret shaped brooch; the reverse is flat the obverse is slightly domed giving a shallow-D shape in section except for the small constriction which is a narrow oval in section; there is no evidence of a pin or pin groove; neither is there any evidence of any method of mounting suggesting that the object was not a mount. Although corrosion has caused a considerable amount of pitting, the patina that remains is dark and polished in appearance.

Sally Worrell writes: Although this record has no image and a limited description, it has been retained on the database in the hope that this information may be of interest to someone.

Notes:

the width is taken at the widest part of the ring not at the constriction
