A one-piece Colchester type brooch the wings are flat, behind which two coils of the spring, the remainder of the spring and pin are missing as is the external chord, the forward hook is extant; the bow is almost flat in profile and tapers to a point at the foot, the entire centre line of the bow and foot is decorated with a channel with internal multiple triangular cells, the catchplate is broken and missing
