An incomplete and misshapen Medieval to post-Medieval copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1350-c. 1650).
The pin is missing.
This buckle frame is convex at the front. Each oval loop is similar in size and bevelled at the rear. The bar is oval in cross-section and the loops are turned upwards from the bar.
The frame has a green patina with some corrosion.
Length: 27.6mm; width: 22.3mm; thickness: 2.9mm. Weight: 3.26g.
Similar buckles have been published and dated c. 1350-c. 1650 AD (Whitehead 2003: 53).
