Glass is mottled dark brown and cream in colour. The metal surrounding the central cone is divided into two concentric circles of equal width by a thin bead which is repeated on the edge to form a low rim around the brooch perimeter. The circles are infilled with incised fine wavy line decoration which has been gilded. A substantial amount of the gilding remains. The hinge and catchplate remain. Pin is missing.
