Copper alloy brooch. Annular flared brooch with decorative elements to each side. D-sectioned frame. It has a deep, collared recess at one side which would have once contained a stone of some description. Opposite on the other side of the frame is an ovoid projection with a central groove on the front. There is incised line decoration around inner face of frame, recess and on edges of protrusion. The frame is narrowed for a pin attachment which would have been at right angles to the projection. The recess lies at 12 'O' clock, the pin recess at 3 'O' clock and the projection at 6 'O' clock. The back is flat with prominent file marks.
