Incomplete copper alloy double oval loop frame, probably from a buckle or a suspension loop strap fitting. The majority of one loop is missing with the remnant bent out of shape. Despite the deflection in the damaged loop the relative curvatures suggest the loops were of slightly different size. Wear on the end of the extant loop may infer that the object was used suspended from a strap, hence the buckle identification is not definitive. Circa 14th-17th century AD. Dimensions; length 16.94mm, width 15.35mm, weight 0.9g.
