A silver penny of Baldred, King of Kent AD 823-825 (after which he was expelled). This coin is a non-bust issue (North N216), struck in Canterbury by the moneyer Diormod. This appears to be the first coin of its type recorded; it differs to North N216 as the cross and cross crosslets are on opposite faces to that illustrated.
