Fragment of a cast copper alloy Roman bow brooch. The fragment consists of the foot of the bow where the sub-triangular plate extends to form the catchplate. The extant configuration suggest the bow was deeply arched and is possibly an early variety such as a Colchester type. Circa 40-150 AD. Dimensions; length 19.56mm, width 3.64mm, thickness 3.79mm, weight 1.4g
