An incomplete copper-alloy mount of medieval date. It is flat rectangular strap end which is traingular in cross section. There does not appear to be any decoration although there is an apparently integrally cast pellet.
It may possibly be a girdle hanger or brooch fragment.
The recorder has not seen the object and the identification is from the photograph only. The photograph was kindly provided by the finder.
