Object type certainty:
Copper alloy rectangular framed buckle with central bar, of Post Medieval date, probably 17th century. The buckle is concave along its length; the outside edge of the frame at both ends is sub-triangular. The side of the frame are angled inwards slightly and have a rounded knop at the position of the central bar. The buckle has retained the pin, which is of D-shaped section and has a transverse ridge. The frame was originally tinned, but is otherwise plain.
