Medieval, cast copper alloy strap end made up of two conjoined pieces of sheet metal separated by a further piece of metal forming a spacer. On the end of the strap end is flat, spiked, terminal. The upper (open) end of the strap is missing but through it were two, 1.7mm diameter, copper alloy rivets. In the opening between the plates are traces of what appears to be textile suggesting the use of a cloth belt. Width 11.7mm, Length 24.7mm, Thickness 2.9mm, Mass 2.40g. In London strap ends of this form were found in contexts dated to 1270-1400 (Egan and Pritchard 1991, 143, Fig. 94)
