A flint end scraper of probable Mid Bronze Age to Early Iron Age date (c. 1600 - 401 BC).
The tool has been made from a secondary flake, is sub-rectangular in plan and of broadly trapezoidal cross section. Retouch is confined to the rounded distal end and is long, sub-parallel and abrupt. The angled proximal end represents a deliberate truncation and removal of the striking point. The white surface of the exposed flint indicates deposition within an alkaline soil.
