A bent copper-alloy Roman late third or fourth century bracelet fragment.
This fragment is rectangular in shape. It has a flattened D-shaped section with a flat back and rounded front face. Both ends terminate in old breaks, now worn. The front face is decorated with the remains of four panels of three transverse grooves. The back face is undecorated.
This bracelet measures 28.50mm in length, 2.98mm in width, 1.17mm in thickness, 0.95g in weight.
It finds parallels in Crummy's transverse grooves bracelet group (Crummy, 1983, p.42, nos. 1676-1692) and is of late Roman date, c.3rd to 4th centuries AD.
