An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Hod Hill brooch. Only part of the foot and catchplate survive, the remainder of the object is missing due to old breaks, now worn.
It is flat, triangular and tapers to a point. On the back of the foot is the remains of an integrally cast catchplate. There are traces of white metal coating on the front face. The back face is undecorated.
This brooch measures 16.97mm in length, 4.33mm in width, 1.26mm in thickness, 0.53g in weight.
There are similar examples from Hacheston (Blagg et al., 2004, p.90, nos. 23, 25) and recorded on the PAS database (SF-CFC907).
