An incomplete copper alloy buckle plate of medieval date. The plate is sub-rectangular in plan with a thin section. One end splits into two sections which would have looped around the buckle frame strap bar though are broken and worn. The plate appears undecorated and the remains of a single rivet are present at the attachment end.
The metal has a mid brownish-green patina and is worn. The plate is 28.9mm long, 14.9mm wide, 1.5mm thick and weighs 1.5g.
