A complete flint retouched flake of Neolithic date (4300-2100 BC). The lithic is sub-spatulate in profile and concavo-convex in section. The dorsal surface is convex with four predominant negative scars and a minor amount of retained cortex along the proximal edge. The distal, left hand edges contain fine semi-abrupt retouch. Both the proximal and distal ends have been abruptly blunted and the left and right hand edges taper inward. The ventral surface is concave with shallow ripples of percussion emanating from the distal end. The lithic retains a minor amount of cortex and is therefore a secondary flake
The flint is grey in colour with cream inclusions throughout. The cortex is cream in colour.
