An incomplete copper-alloy rectangular mount of Medieval to Post-Medieval date. It is missing the terminal and the tip of the rivet due to old breaks, now worn.
It is a flattened D-shape in section with a flat back and rounded front face. Towards the base the object tapers to old breaks. On the back face is an integrally cast rivet. This is rectangular, D-shaped in section and terminates in old breaks. There are traces of gilding on the front face. The back face is undecorated.
This mount measures 28.17mm in length, 9.21mm in width, 1.52mm in thickness, 2.52g in weight.
