An incomplete copper-alloy rectangular double-looped buckle frame of Post-Medieval date. It is missing the majority of one loop due to old breaks, now worn.
It is flat with a triangular outer edge. All external edges are bevelled. The bar is narrowed, with a rectangular section and rectangular D-shaped lobes at the junctions of the bar and frame. In the centre of the bar is a rectangular pin groove.
This buckle frame measures 26.89mm in length, 21.31mm in width, 2.23mm in thickness, 3.23g in weight.
There is a similar example from Whitehead (Whitehead, 2003, p. 82, no. 512) and recorded on the PAS database (SF-674892), (SF-94EC41), (SF-16FB87), (SF-F5E541).
