An incomplete copper alloy spur of post-medieval date. All that remains is the curved portion of the spur which would fit around the heel of the wearer. The fragment is D-shape in section and tapers from the back to two terminals, both of which have been lost to worn breaks. The longest side has a moulded collar midway along its length and a worn raised knop is present on the back from which an arm would have extended to form either a rowel box or prick supr.
The metal has a mid reddish-brown patina and is worn. The spur is 46.9mm long, 15.4mm wide, 7.6mm thick and weighs 15.9g.
