Copper alloy key. Cast rotary key with a hollow stem - revealed by damage to continue hollow for almost its full extent - with a collar and rounded moulding which separates stem from a possibly rhomboid bow with knops on its external angles. The rectangular bit has clefts in the front and back, and is divided into two wards by another; the clefts are all rounded at their inner ends as if heavily worn or even drilled. Bent, with a longitudinal gash in the stem, part of bow lost. Suggested date: Late Medieval to Post-Medieval, 1400-1600.
