Distorted and incomplete outer sheet plate from a copper alloy tongue-shaped strap end. The only rivet hole lies near the attachmment edge. Near the other end an opposed pair of rounded cut-outs on the sides lie above a broken projection, the terminal knop being missing. A deposit of solder covers the reverse apart from a length of 8mm next to the attachment edge. It is very likely that there was no spacer and that the object comprised two pieces of sheet. Length 47mm. Width 10.2mm. 14th century.
