One rim sherd of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel, of Roman dating (2nd to 4th Centuries AD).
The rim sherd consists of a fabric similar to that known as Severn Valley ware, dating from the 2nd to 4th Centuries AD. The sherd probably originally came from a tankard type vessel.
The sherd measures 7.6 mm thick and weighs 42.4 grams. It measures 48.9 mm in length and 60.2 mm wide.
