Fragment of a medieval composite buckle of unusual form formed from thick copper alloy sheet, a very wide outside edge only, with a rolled over "pin rest" decorated with oblique engraved lines. Extant dimensions 21 x 20.5mm. Examples from London have been dated to the 15th century (Fingerlin 1971, Abb. 324-5, Kat. Nr. 229 and 192). Cf. NMS-447206 and NMS-DEFDC5.
