An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age lipped terret of Spratling's group V dating to the period c. 100 BC - AD 25. The terret consists of a curved frame which is oval in cross-section. The frame terminates in an old break at both ends. There are three oval knops in the form of pouting lips spaced at regular intervals along the frame, each bisected by a longitudinal groove running down the centre.
The terret measures 33.78mm in length, 8.99mm maximum width, 5.25mm minimum width, 9.31mm maximum thickness, 4.09mm minimum thickness and weighs 12.11g.
