An incomplete cast copper alloy double looped buckle of Post-Medieval date. The object is an asymmetrical buckle with a missing rectangular loop due to ancient breaks. It is D-shaped in cross-section. The outer frame is rounded and is decorated with four engraved oblique lines on the outer edge. The strap bar is narrowed. The object has a light to mid-green patina and is corroded. A similar example which can be found in Whitehead, (2003), p91 is no. 572, which has been dated to c. AD1575-1700.
