Fragment of a late Saxon copper alloy strap-end, Thomas type A1. The animal-headed terminal is missing, and the strap-end is now bent in two. The attachment end is formed of two pierced lobes. A feint incised panel is visible but the decoration is unclear. The body on the other side of the fold is clearer, and at the break there is the beginnings of an incised possible zoomorphic motif. A circular hole is visible next to the this. The break is patinated and old.
