A complete knapped flint thumbnail scraper dating from the Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age period (c2400 BC - 2200 BC).
On the ventral side of the object the bulb of percussion can be seen at the narrow end, this is also where the striking platform is located. The ventral side also shows the conchoidal fracture eminating from the bulb of percussion. The dorsal side shows many flaking scars made during the production of this scraper and it shows that only one side of the flint has been knapped
The object measures 26.7 mm in length and is 23.5 mm wide. It has a thickness of 8.6 mm and weighs 5.1 g.
The object is a white and grey in colour with some orange staining (possible iron staining) on the dorsal side.
