An incomplete cast copper-alloy mount of Medieval date. It is a flat, rectangular mount, both ends of which end in old breaks. There is a circular hole for a separately cast rivet at one end which remains in place. The front face is decorated with four horizontal ribs at one end and a series of longitudinal ribs which join them. The other face is undecorated.
The recorder has not seen the object and the identification is from the photograph only.
