A cast copper-alloy mount of Medieval date. It is a flat, rectangular mount which is convex in shape and which has two circular holes for separately cast rivets which are missing, one at each end. There is a semi-circular knop at one end, below which is the first rivet hole. There are then two horizontal ribs. The central part of the mount is undecorated. There is then a second rivet hole followed by a raised collar at the terminal end of the mount.
The recorder has not seen the object and the identification is from the photograph only.
