A cast copper-alloy strap end of Medieval date. It is a flat, shield shaped strap end with a single separately cast rivet in the centre of the attachment end which is straight. The front face is decorated with two longitudinal ribs projecting from a horizontal line just below the rivet. The other face is undecorated.
The recorder has not seen the object and the identification is from the photograph only.
