A Post Medieval copper alloy buckle of probable C.AD 1550-1650 date. The buckle is a double loop oval shape with all-over moulded surface foliate decoration. There are the remains of white enamel in between the raised foliate designs. There are moulded knops at either end of the in set pin bar. A separate buckle plate survives along with the remains of the two iron rivets which would have attached the buckle to a strap.
The buckle is 41.9mm long, 29.7mm wide, 4.7mm thick and weighs 14.63 grams.
