Unidentified object, possibly designed to serve as a seal. The item consists of a sub-oval lead plate with three incomplete prongs projecting from one edge. The reverse has an incised oval line around the perimeter and the front has the impression of the obverse of a coin of Queen Anne, a guinea or shilling based on the size showing a bust of Queen Anne with ANNA DEI GRATIA (in reverse) inscribed around.
Several examples of such lead coin impressions are already recorded on the PAS database but their use is not certain. They could be seals, tokens, weights or moulds. This one has been dated c. 1702-1714 based on Queen Anne's date but may be more recent.
