An incomplete copper alloy purse bar of post-medieval date. Only a section of one arm of the purse bar remains and is circular in section with worn breaks to either end. The worn remains of a flat flange with two semi-circular perforations (representing the remains of attachment holes) projects from the underside of the remaining bar.
The decoration on the bar consists of a widely spaced incised cross-hatched design.
The metal has a mid green patina and is worn. The purse bar is 52.9mm long, 6.8mm in diameter and weighs 14.1g.
