A Post Medieval lead-alloy 2 ounce weight. The weight is circular in plan; it has a wider base than the top face and the sides of the object taper upwards. At the centre of the top is a slight circular protrusion which may be the remains of an attachment hook or loop. The weight is plain and undecorated and has a pale white patina. The weight weighs 54.2g which is the equivalent to 1.91 ounces, so this was probably a 2 ounce weight. Diameter of base: 23mm; Diameter of top face: 20mm; Thickness: 9mm; Weight: 54.2g.
