A cast copper-alloy strap end of Medieval date. It has rectangular front and back plates separated by a forked spacer of equal size. At the attachment end are two triangular notches beneath which are two circular rivet holes containing separately cast copper-alloy rivets with flattened heads. At the base the plates taper to an incomplete lozenge shaped terminal knop. The front face of one plate has decoration comprising multiple diagonal bands of incised rocker decoration. The entire object measures 49.08mm in length, 17.53mm in width, 4.45mm in thickness, and 10.35g in weight. This is a strap end of Medieval date, c.14th century AD (cf. Egan and Pritchard, 1991: nos. 664, 670).
