A cast copper-alloy folding strap clasp of Medieval date. It has a rectangular frame with offset and narrowed bar. At the outer edge is a separately cast cylindrical bar with rectangular copper-alloy folding clasp decorated on its front face with cross hatching. Hinging around the bar is a separately cast attachment plate that is rectangular in form with rectangular frame recesses and a single circular rivet hole at the centre of the attachment end. It measures 14.02mm in width (bent), 43.86mm in length, 5.29mm in thickness, and 3.85g in weight. This is a folding strap clasp of Medieval date, c.14th century AD (cf Egan and Pritchard, 1991: nos. 565-566).
