An incomplete copper-alloy asymmetrical double looped buckle frame of Post-Medieval date. It is missing the pin bar and the pin due to old breaks, now worn.
It is D-shaped in section. One loop is rectangular and the other is D-shaped, with a pair of rectangular knops projecting from the now missing pin bar. The outer edge of the D-shaped loop has a triangular knop. The front face is decorated with a central longitudinal groove and a V-shaped groove at the base. The rectangular loop has an expanded outer edge. The front face is decorated with a transverse groove with nine short longitudinal grooves projecting from it. The back of the frame is flat and undecorated.
This buckle frame measures 30.06mm in length, 18.02mm in width, 2.17mm in thickness, 3.14g in weight.
