A cast copper-alloy rotary or casket key of Medieval date. It has a circular bow with faceted, hexagonal cross section and circular aperture. The stem is oval in section and tapers to a pointed tip. The integral bit is rectangular in form and on the same plane as the bow. It has single opposing rectangular clefts. The entire object measures 41.95mm in length, 14.63mm in height at bow, 3.85mm in thickness, and 5.19g in weight. This key is of Medieval date, c.13th-14th century AD.
