A complete but worn copper-alloy Early-Medieval/Anglo-Scandinavian stirrup-strap mount of Williams Class A, Type 15.

It is flat and sub-rectangular. At the top is an oval apex loop with a central circular rivet hole. This expands to curved shoulders. Approximately half way down the mount is a pair of shallow U-shaped notches. At the base of the mount is a central circular rivet hole and an integrally cast rectangular flange. The front face is decorated with two opposing pairs of V-shaped grooves. Beneath these is an opposing pair of joined spirals. The back face is undecorated.

This object measures 34.89mm in length, 25.86mm in width, 3.81mm in thickness, 16.78g in weight.

There are similar examples recorded by Williams (Williams, 1997, p. 77, no. 357, 359).
